UK Plug-In Solar Compliance Tracker
A legal route for qualifying plug-in solar devices in Great Britain begins on 27 August 2026. This tracker records product-level compliance evidence separately from whether a system is currently available to buy.

Important: Compliance status is based on the cited official or industry-register evidence. PlugInSolarCheck does not certify products.
What does compliant mean?
It does not mean that any European balcony kit, generic microinverter or collection of apparently compatible parts qualifies. Evidence must apply to the exact complete product: its panels, grid-following inverter, manufacturer-supplied connection lead and BS 1363 plug, cables and mounting system.
The final IPS caps maximum apparent output at 800 VA. Panel DC capacity is a different measurement, which is why systems above 800 W DC can still appear in the tracker without implying an AC output above the limit.
Territorial scope
The operative G98 connection route covers Great Britain: England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland uses separate G98/NI network requirements, so these entries must not be read as confirmation for Northern Ireland.
