Commercial transparency
Affiliate disclosure
Some links on PlugInSolarCheck are affiliate links. If you follow one and make a purchase, PlugInSolarCheck may receive a commission at no extra cost to you.
Reviewed 17 September 2026. Commercial relationships and approved links are checked separately from editorial and calculator decisions.
How we handle affiliate links
- Affiliate links are visibly labelled.
- Commercial relationships do not change the calculator's formulas or results.
- We may choose between a direct merchant programme and a network such as Awin according to product relevance, availability and the quality of the buying route; commission alone does not determine a recommendation.
- We distinguish mains-connected plug-in solar, portable power stations, portable panels, monitoring accessories and installed home batteries.
- A retailer link is not evidence that a product is legal, compliant or suitable for connection to a UK household electricity supply.
- Readers should check current official guidance and manufacturer documentation before buying or connecting equipment.
Current programmes
PlugInSolarCheck uses approved affiliate relationships including direct merchant programmes and Awin programmes for relevant solar, portable-power and home-energy products.
The site is also approved for the Amazon Sellers Programme UK via Awin/PartnerBoost. Links for that programme are used only when the programme supplies a valid product-feed or Search Page tracking link; ordinary Awin deeplinks are not substituted for them.
We found no live Amazon Associates links in the current site code. If Amazon Associates links are introduced separately in future, the required Amazon Associates disclosure will be shown on pages that use them.
